The caproni is a free-flight semi-scale foam glider. You occasionaly see them in toy shops or model shops. They normaly cost about £15. You should be able to order them through Ripmax (code A-UM21).
Years ago I had one of these and mounted full size servos, Rx and Battery and it just about flew. It broke on every third landing though, always around the tail somewhere. It met it's end on a hill in Guildford in a spectacular cartwheel. The weight of all the components made short work of the foam.
This one will get micro gear and will weigh a lot less. I'll start it off as a glider but I'd like to electrify it later as well. There's a big lump of metal hot-glued in under the canopy. Removing it will help offset the weight of the R/C gear going in.
